General Introduction

Chaoyang is located in the western part of the Liaoning Province bordering the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the Hebei Province.

Transportation is convenient. State Highway 101 runs through the city and extends to Shenyang. In addition, there are railways connecting the city with other major cities, including Beijing, Shenyang, Dalian, Dandong, Chengde and Chifeng.

The industrial sector is the major accelerator of Chaoyang’s economy. While metallurgy, coal mining, machinery and food processing are the traditional pillar industries, electronics, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and energy have emerged as the new growth industries in the city.
