General Introduction

Chenzhou is located in the southeast part of the Hunan province bordering with Guangdong. The city is linked with Guangdong highways and the Beijing-Guangzhou railway.

Given its close proximity to Guangdong, Chenzhou has been a favourite destination of manufacturing relocation from Guangdong, including electronics, construction materials, pharmaceuticals and food processing, IT, chemicals and machinery. In 2015, the industry sector accounted for 51% of the GDP. The nonferrous metallurgy and energy industries are the two major traditional industries in the city.
