Chizhou is the first state level ecological demonstrative area in China that possesses a good ecological environment.
Chizhou is located in the southern part of the Anhui Province and lies adjacent to the Yangtze River to the North. Hong Kong-invested Chi Zhou Port Yuan Hang Holdings Co., Ltd. is specializing in port construction, cargo handling and logistics.
The moderate climate enjoyed by the city and abundance of non-ferrous metal resources such as lead, zinc and manganese are the conditions for industrial development in Chizhou. Major industries in Chizhou include coal mining and dressing, metallurgy, chemicals, equipment manufacturing, auto parts, agricultural products processing and textiles.
Tianfang Tea Industry and Chizhou Non ferrous Metal Company are examples of large private companies in Chizhou. Tianfang Tea specializes in the production of tea and tea accompaniments, while Chizhou Non ferrous Metal Company specializes in non-ferrous metals mining and production services.
