General Introduction

Heze is located in the southwestern part of the Shandong Province.

Transportation in Heze is convenient. While the Beijing-Kowloon Railway and the New Asia-Europe Land Bridge meet in the city, a number of highways run through the city.

Heze is a large coal, oil and natural gas production base in northern China. It also has abundant wood resources.

Industry is the largest contributor to the city’s economy, accounting for 46% of the GDP in 2015. Pillar industries include pharmaceutical industry, petrochemical industry and food industry. Major products are electricity, crude oil and wheat.

Leading enterprises in the city include Shandong Dongming Petrochemicals Group, Shandong Yuhuang Chemicals, Shandong Hongye Chemicals Group, Shandong Caopu Handcrafts and Shandong Yinxiang Weiye Group.
