General Introduction

Liuzhou is located in the northern part of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Liuzhou is designated as a regional hub in MOFCOM’s development plan (2015-2020) of distributive trade and logistics. The Liuzhou Bailian Airport operates flights to cities including Nanning, Guangzhou and Beihai. Liuzhou’s highways and railways integrate well with the national networks.

Liuzhou's GDP ranked second after Nanning in the autonomous region. The largest contributor to the city's economy is the industry sector which accounted for 51% of the GDP in 2015. Liuzhou is the most important industrial city in Guangxi. Automobiles, metallurgy and machinery are the major industries.

Leading enterprises include Guangxi Liugong Machinery, Liuzhou Chemical Industry, Liuzhou Liangmianzhen, and Liuzhou Iron & Steel.
