General Introduction

Suqian is located in the northern part of the Jiangsu Province.

The city can be reached by highways. The Beijing-Shanghai Highway, the Nanjing-Suqian-Xuzhou Highway and the Xuzhou-Suqian-Huai'an-Yancheng Highway intersect in the city. The Grand Canal, the longest canal in the world, provide convenient water transportation.

Suqian has a significant industry sector that contributed 41% to the city’s GDP in 2015. Food and beverages, garments and textiles, wood processing and mechatronics are the dominant industries in the city. Yanghe Brewery and Jiangsu Sijuan Group (SPCC) are examples of leading enterprises setting up production lines there.
