Zhenjiang lies in the southwest of the Jiangsu province. It ranked as the 38th most competitive city in China in 2016 according to the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
Zhenjiang has an efficient transportation network. There are numerous highways and railways running through the city, such as the Beijing-Shanghai Railway, Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway, No. 312 State Highway and No. 104 State Highway.
The city has Zhenjiang Port which is one of the 5 major ports in Jiangsu. It is an important transfer port for goods from the upper and middle parts of the Yangtze River.
Chemicals and equipment manufacturing industries dominates Zhenjiang’s economic development, which form a significant part of the industry sector. Other pillar industries include paper making, new materials and special metal.
There are lots of large enterprises operating businesses in Zhenjiang, such as Sopo Corp, Feida Group, Tiangong Tools, and Chia Hsin Jingyang Cement.
