General Introduction

Dazhou is located in the northeast part of the Sichuan Province.

Dazhou is designated as a regional hub in MOFCOM’s development plan (2015-2020) of distributive trade and logistics. National highways and railways connect the city with other major cities in China, including Chengdu, Chongqing, Xi'an, Guiyang and Zhengzhou. Dazhou Heshi Airport operates daily flights to Guangzhou, Beijing, Shenzhen and Shanghai.

Dazhou is rich in mineral and natural resources, particularly coal and natural gas. Coal mining and electricity have been developed as the major industries in the city. Other major industries include metallurgy, food and beverages, chemicals, textile and construction materials. Gross industrial output amounted to RMB99 billion in 2015.
