Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture is located in the southeastern part of the Qinghai Province.
Transportation in Huangnan mainly relies on highways. A number of highways connect Huangnan with other cities.
Huangnan is rich in mineral resources such as gold, silver, copper, lead, zinc, antimony, and arsenic.
