General Introduction

Laibin is located in the middle of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Transportation mainly relies on highways, railways and waterways that run through the city.

Forests cover 43.4% of the city's lands. Mineral resources such as barite and coal are abundant. Laibin's exports of barite have been ranked first in Guangxi for many years.

The agricultural sector accounted for 25% of the GDP in 2015, a major product is sugar cane.

The industry sector accounted for 28% of the GDP in 2015. Sugar production, electricity power and ferrous metallurgy are the major industries of the city.
