General Introduction

Loudi is situated in the central part of the Hunan Province, it is designated as a regional hub in MOFCOM’s development plan (2015-2020) of distributive trade and logistics. A number of highways and railways make Loudi easily accessible from other domestic cities such as Luoyang, Guizhou, Shanghai and Macau.

Loudi is rich in mineral resources, particularly coal and iron.

The industry sector accounted for 45% of the GDP in 2015. Attracted by abundant coal and iron resources, coal mining and dressing and metallurgy industries are well developed in Loudi. Power production and supply, agricultural products processing, ceramics and construction materials are other major industries in the city.
