Qinzhou City is located on the south coast of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is designated as a regional hub in MOFCOM’s development plan (2015-2020) of distributive trade and logistics.
Highways and railways connect the city with other major cities in Guangxi, such as Nanning, Beihai and Fangchenggang. Qinzhou Bay is one of the most convenient shipping channels to countries in the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN).
The agricultural and fishery sector accounted for 22% of the GDP in 2015. As Qinzhou is located in the subtropical zone, it is rich in subtropical fruits, seafood and pearls.
The industry sector accounted for 30% of the GDP in 2015. Major industries include petro-chemistry (LPG), papermaking, electronics, energy, grain and oil processing, metallurgy and logistics.
