General Introduction

Quzhou is situated in the western part of the Zhejiang Province and in the upper reaches of the Qiantang River.

The city is easily accessible. Quzhou Airport offers flights to Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and other major cities in China. A number of highways run through the city. Ningbo-Zhoushan Port and Shanghai Port, two of the three top container ports in China, are 366 km and 450 km from Quzhou respectively.

Industry is the main economic driver, contributing 38% to the city’s GDP in 2015. Major industries are chemicals, machinery, construction materials, ferrous metal processing, paper making, wooding processing, textiles and electricity production.
