Yingkou is coastal port city in Liaoning, located in the center of the province.
Yingkou has an efficient transportation system. In addition to two railways and five highways passing through Yingkou, it can also be accessed by water. Yingkou Port, one of China's major coastal ports, offers ferry and cargo services.
Yingkou’s industry sector is led by metallurgy, petrochemicals, equipment manufacturing, magnesium materials, textiles and garments, building materials, food and beverage, and electricity, gas and water supply.
The logistics industry is the most important service industry of Yingkou. Total container throughputs handled by Yingkou Port ranked 9th in 2015 in China.
