General Introduction

Yulin is located in the southeastern part of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, bordering Guangdong Province.

The agricultural sector made up 18% of the city's GDP in 2015. Yulin is an important production base of grain, fruit and livestock in Guangxi. Major agricultural products include lychee, longan fruit and Sanhuang chickens.

In 2015, total industrial production accounted for 35% of the GDP. Yulin is an important national and provincial production base of internal combustion engines, daily use ceramics, construction materials, leather garments and food processing.

Yulin also has a manufacturing cluster of transportation equipment. One of the leading enterprises is Yucai Group, the largest independent production base of diesel engines in China.
