General Introduction

Zhangjiakou is seated in the northwestern part of the Hebei Province. It is easily accessible by highways and railways, such as the Datong-Qinhuangdao Railway and the Beijing-Baotou Railway.

The industry sector accounted for 32% of the GDP in 2015. Food processing and new energy are the major industries in the city. Other industries include equipment manufacturing and minerals processing.

Large enterprises in Zhangjiakou include China Great Wall Wine, Xuanhua Iron and Steel and Zhangjiakou Coal Mining Machinery.
