Enquiry: How are Cross-border E-commerce Enterprises Managed under the Chinese Customs Regime?
According to the Chinese government’s announcement on matters related to customs supervision on cross-border e-commerce retail import/export commodities, cross-border e-commerce enterprises should submit the following information in advance to the customs office of the place where the enterprises are located:
1. Duplicate of the Business Licence;
2. Duplicate of the Organisation Code Certificate (not applicable to companies registered with unified social credit code);
3. Business Registration Form, including the organisation code or unified social credit code, name in Chinese, business registered address, business licence registration number, legal representative (or responsible person), identity type, identity number, customs contact person, mobile phone number, fixed line phone number and cross-border e-commerce website address.
If an enterprise submits photocopies according to the above-mentioned provisions, it shall also submit the original documents to the customs. For declaration to the customs, it shall go through the formalities of registration required by the customs on declaration unit registration administration.
