Enquiry: How can an import/export company secure approval to issue customs declarations and ensure it conforms to all inspection/quarantine requirements?
As of 20 April this year, in line with the latest directive from the General Administration of Customs, a business will be entitled to issue a consolidated customs and inspection/quarantine declaration once it has completed the stipulated customs registration and/or record-filing procedures. Enterprises may submit their customs registration documents via the China International Trade Single Window (www.singlewindow.cn) or via the site of their local customs office. Once the registration has been confirmed, a company may issue customs declarations concerning its import/export operations, while also being expected to cooperate with the relevant authorities with regard to any required inspection/quarantine procedures.
