Entry/exit inspection and quarantine charges were suspended from 1 July 2017 onwards, freeing all importers from the obligation to pay any such fees.

The change was specified in the Circular of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) on Implementing the Decision of Cancelling or Suspending Four Items of Administrative Charges (Guo Zhi Jian Cai Han No. 140 [2017]).
