Enquiry: Which products are obliged to obtain China Compulsory Certification (CCC) prior to being sold or distributed in China?

At present, more than 150 products, including certain electrical equipment, automotive products and several toy categories must be CCC-verified before they can be sold in China. For full details of these products, please consult the Catalogue of Products Subject to Compulsory Product Certification and The 2017 HS Code Reference Table, as compiled by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China (CNCA).

It should be noted that the said reference table is only to be considered a quick guide for the determination of the relevant product category. In any instances of ambiguity or uncertainty, the detailed description and definition of products as contained in the CNCA’s Catalogue of Products Subject to Compulsory Product Certification shall be deemed to prevail.
