All duly-registered domestic / overseas-invested enterprises, as well as individually-owned businesses, will automatically be issued with a Business Licence, complete with a unique Unified Social Credit Code, by the relevant local industry and commerce administration authority or market regulation department. The “one licence, one code” system has been mandatory since 1 January 2018.
