Before importing any pet food – including specialist cat or dog food – to China, the appropriate Import Registration Certificate must be secured from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. This applies to all pet foods defined as feeds / feed additives under the terms of the Regulations on the Management of Feeds and Feed Additives, while also extending to any pet food products that may have been industrially-processed or otherwise manufactured.
