Q: Is it possible to import Australian food such as baked breakfast cereals and cake mixes into China directly without going through an exporter or importer?

A: In China, import inspection and quarantine and the necessary customs clearance formalities must be handled by a mainland registered company. A company set up in the mainland and has obtained the required licence and permit can handle these formalities.
