Q: We are a foreign company without domestic sales rights in China. After our client received an order from abroad, we would import waste metals to make blanks for our client, which would then carry out processing and assembly for export. Now it is stated that imported waste metals are not accepted in processing contracts and cannot be transferred to other factories. What can we do?

A: Some waste metals belong to the prohibited category under processing trade and their import is prohibited. Your company may either purchase these materials locally or import other materials as substitutes.
