Q: What are the Procedures for Setting up a Company for Sales Business in China?

A: According to Chinese laws and regulations, foreign and Hong Kong companies may set up companies for sales business in China. They will normally set up wholly-owned or joint-venture companies (with Chinese partner). Since the revised Company Law has scrapped capital requirements for the establishment of companies, a company will only need to have sufficient capital for its own production and operation. For details, please read Procedures for the Establishment of FIEs.
