Q: What are the Tax Concession Policies for China's New and High-tech Enterprises?

A: In order to promote the development of new and high-tech industries, enterprises in the State Council-approved new and high-tech industrial development zones designated by the administrative departments in charge of science and technology at the provincial level or above are levied enterprise income tax at a reduced rate of 15%. Newly-established new and high-tech enterprises in State Council-approved new and high-tech industrial development zones are exempt from income tax in their first two years of operation. Thus, enterprises eligible for this policy of income tax remission must be new and high-tech enterprises established in new and high-tech industrial development zones approved by the State Council.
