Q: Where Can Companies in China Apply for the Global Trade Item Number (GTIN)?

A: The Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) is a globally unique number used to identify all trade items – retail and non-retail – contained in a logistic unit. It is widely used in such areas as product management, logistics and transportation, real-time data management, e-commerce and m-commerce. Companies in China can apply to the Article Numbering Center of China (ANCC, GS1 China) and its branch offices for GTIN.
