Any company looking to export feeds/feed additives to China must first complete the appropriate registration procedures with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. This can be conducted either by their mainland-resident representative office or via their authorised mainland agent. In addition, they must also secure the requisite Feeds and Feed Additives Import Registration Certificate, without which no such items may be sold or deployed anywhere on the mainland. The certificate is valued for five years, with any subsequent extension application required to be submitted six months prior to the expiration of the initial certificate.

Details of the above procedures can be found in the Regulations on the Management of Feeds and Feed Additives and the Administrative Measures for the Registration of Imported Feeds and Feed Additives (Revised Version 2017).
