Any products complying with China’s statutory regulations with regard to cross-border e-commerce retail imports can be imported to the mainland via a cross-border e-commerce platform, including:

  • Products on the List of Cross-Border E-Commerce Retail Imports, which are for personal use and comply with the conditions set out in the cross-border e-commerce retail import policy regulations
  • Products which are offered via e-commerce platforms linked online with the Chinese customs authority (providing all digital information relating to the transaction, payment and logistics duly tally)
  • Products not offered via an e-commerce platforms linked online with the Chinese customs authority, but where the cross-border courier or postal service provider commissioned by the e-commerce operator or payment service provider consents to be legally responsible for submitting the required digital information relating to the transaction and any payment due to the Chinese customs service
