When the National People’s Congress endorsed the State Council’s institutional reform plan in March last year, the entry-exit inspection and quarantine responsibilities of the former General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine were transferred to the General Administration of Customs. In line with this, since 20 April 2018, any enterprise that has undertaken the required registration with the customs authority will be entitled to simultaneously complete the statutory customs inspection and declaration procedures with regard to both inspection and quarantine. Such enterprises may also submit customs applications via the China International Trade Single Window (www.singlewindow.cn).
